Congressman Brad Schneider Sworn into 113th Congress
Congressman Brad Schneider (D-Deerfield) was sworn into office today after being elected in November to represent Illinois’s 10th Congressional district.
“It’s an incredible honor to represent and serve the people of the 10th Congressional district and help create meaningful change for Illinois families,” Schneider said. “Today, the real work begins, and I look forward to addressing the challenges before us—from strengthening our economy and helping small and medium-sized businesses grow, to protecting our environment and fostering quality opportunities for this and future generations."
Following the official swearing-in ceremony on the House floor, Schneider will be joined by his family at 3:25 PM in the Rayburn Room for a photo opportunity with Speaker John Boehner.
On Nov. 6, 2012, Schneider was elected to represent Illinois’s 10th Congressional district, where for more than 20 years he has had a successful career in business and management consulting, advising companies large and small. Schneider will sit on the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
