Newsletter: Medicare Part D Open Enrollment Help for Seniors
Today is the first day of Medicare Open Enrollment season for seniors to make changes to their Medicare coverage. I know the enrollment process can be daunting, and it's OK to have questions. That's why we're pleased to be hosting four informational events in Wheeling, Zion, Glenview and Lincolnshire to help connect seniors with help. If you would like assistance, make sure to call and sign-up for an appointment!

ADVOCATING FOR S.A.L.T. RELIEF
The tax bill President Trump signed into law last year effectively eliminated the federal deduction for state and local tax (SALT) paid by many Illinois residents, and punishes many Illinois families. Our state already pays more in federal taxes than we receive back in benefits, making the elimination of the SALT deduction even more egregious. Last week, I joined a letter urging Governor Rauner to address the damage of this new law on Illinois taxpayers and explore options for relief as other states have done, including New Jersey, New York, and California.
Read the letter on our website.
NEIGHBORHOOD OFFICE HOURS
This week, our constituent service representatives will be in Mt. Prospect, and Glenview. If you need assistance with a federal issue, please come see us!

RSVP FOR VETERANS BREAKFAST
This Veterans Day weekend, I'm hosting a breakfast to honor those in our communities who served, and share some of the ways my office and local veteran organizations can be of assistance.
The breakfast is free and open to all veterans in Illinois's Tenth Congressional District. I hope to see you there.

WEEKLY WRAP-UP
I toured work to repair a collapsed culvert under Washington Street in Waukegan with Sam Cunningham, State Sen. Terry Link and State Rep. Rita Mayfield. Across our country, our infrastructure needs investment. I'm committed to working across the aisle to make bipartisan progress on this issue.
I was glad to join local business leaders and Mayor Nancy Rotering at the Business Summit in Highland Park.
I was glad to visit Tech Campus last week and learn more about the career and technical education training opportunities available to students. They young people here are gaining the STEM skills and hands-on experiences to succeed in a 21st century economy.
With some of the constituents who visited our #NeighborhoodOfficeHours at the Deerfield Public Library this afternoon.
