NORTH CHICAGO, Ill - Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) called for Senate action on infrastructure investments during his visits to Glenview and North Chicago. The infrastructure bills currently in front of the U.S. Senate contain funding language for improvements to Glenview's Milwaukee Ave and West Lake Ave intersection and for growing North Chicago's storm sewer system.
"Our nation's infrastructure has fallen behind after failing to invest in it for generations. The consequences of Senate action right now will impact our communities in Illinois. People don't realize that bottleneck intersections like ours in Glenview and storm sewers like ours in North Chicago are what is at stake in the Senate. If we can invest in these projects, traffic and flooding will abate, delivering jobs and a boost to our quality of life," said Congressman Brad Schneider.
Schneider secured House passage of funding for Milwaukee Ave improvements as part of the INVEST in America Act. Schneider secured House passage for the North Chicago Storm Sewer Project as part of the Appropriations Fiscal Year 2022 Homeland Security Funding Bill.
