Schneider Announces Greek Americans Yianni Konstantinou, Jeanne Polydoris as Guests To The Greek Prime Minister's Historic Address to a Joint Meeting Of Congress
WASHINGTON — Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) today announced his guests to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis Address to a Joint Meeting of Congress. Jeanne Polydoris and Yianni Konstantinou will join Schneider on Tuesday, May 17th at 11:00 am ET. The address will take place on Greece's bicentennial.

Jeanne Polydoris is a life-long resident of the 10th Congressional District (Lake Forest) and the granddaughter of World War II concentration camp liberator Stuart G Polydoris. She frequently speaks and advocates for issues related to the veteran community and families of those currently serving. In 2013 and 2019, Secretary of State Jesse White appointed Jeanne to the Veterans Advisory Council. Currently, Jeanne serves on the Leadership Committees of Rush University Medical Centers Road Home Program and Heart and Vascular Institute.
Yianni Konstantinou is an entrepreneur and advocate on Greek American issues. A resident of the 10th Congressional District (Highland Park), he supports the Highland Park Community Foundation and advocates for strong ties between the United States and Greece through the Hellenic American Leadership Council. Yianni's community involvement and entrepreneurship is a testament to the success of Greek Americans in Illinois.
Speaker Pelosi, in a letter, invited Prime Minister Mitsotakis on behalf of the bipartisan leadership of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate. The Prime Minister will share his "message of democratic values as we continue to strengthen our partnership, bolster security and freedom worldwide, and build a brighter future for our children." In her invitation, Speaker Pelosi notes, "our world faces a pivotal moment in the fight between the forces of democracy and autocracy, the transatlantic alliance remains vital to the future of freedom in the world."
