Schneider Offices to Begin Serving Constituents Remotely; Physical Locations Temporarily Closed to Visitors
Constituent service representatives remain available remotely to help constituents with federal casework issues
Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) announced his offices will begin serving constituents remotely and physical locations will be temporarily closed to most visitors in order to protect the public health and prevent the potential spread of coronavirus.
Beginning today, Congressman Schneider's team members will be principally working from home during normal business hours. The office has instituted continuity of operations procedures (COOP) to ensure constituent services are not interrupted during this extraordinary period. Calls will continue to be answered and messages returned, and constituent correspondence responded to in the same timely manner. (To ensure prompt reply, the office recommends constituents use email or phone in place of physical mail when possible). Constituent service representatives will continue to help residents of Illinois's Tenth District with existing and new casework issues involving the federal government – including navigating recent travel restrictions announced by President Trump. Congressman Schneider will still accept small meetings by appointment only in line with current public health guidelines.
This announcement applies to the offices in Washington, DC and Lincolnshire, IL and to the satellite offices in Waukegan, IL and Round Lake Park, IL.
