Schneider’s District Offices to Collect “Valentines for Veterans”

January 14, 2019

Constituents are invited to submit cards and letters thanking local veterans for their service this Valentine’s Day

Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) announced the launch of the Tenth District "Valentines for Vets" program to collect and distribute Valentine's Day cards to local veterans.

Constituents of all ages are encouraged to participate by dropping off or mailing cards to Schneider's Lincolnshire office, or by dropping off cards at his two Satellite offices in Round Lake Park and Waukegan. The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 8, 2019.

"Our brave military men and women earn our admiration and gratitude every day. Valentine's Day gives us the chance to show our appreciation in a special way," said Schneider. "A card or handwritten note is a great way to give back to those who have given so much for our country."

This is Schneider's third year hosting the program. In previous years, his office collected more than 1,000 cards from constituents and area schoolchildren, which Schneider distributed to veterans at Lovell Federal Health Care Center and a breakfast of the Lake County Honor Flight.

Schneider's office is located at the below address. Constituents with questions should contact Robert Perez at 847-383-4870.
