Schneider to Serve on House Judiciary Committee
Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) was selected as a member of the House Judiciary Committee for the 115th Congress.
“It is a true honor to join the House Judiciary Committee, and I look forward to working with Chairman Goodlatte, Ranking Member Conyers, and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle in this new role,” said Schneider. “This seat serves as a great platform for the people of the Tenth District on the important issues facing our country, from immigration and gun safety legislation to voting and women’s rights to civil liberties and intellectual property. At this critical moment for our constitutional system, I intend to help carry out the committee’s responsibility for close oversight of the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, as well as the administration of justice in our federal court system.”
Schneider is also a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
