Schneider Votes for American Jobs, Supply Chains in America COMPETES Act
WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) voted for the America COMPETES Act, critical legislation that will help tackle inflation, supply chain, and competitiveness issues weighing on American families and will set the United States up for long-term economic success. Since 2020, Schneider has been leading the push to assess vulnerabilities and prioritize supply chains from PPE and medical devices to semiconductors and vehicles.
Congressman Schneider said, "The America COMPETES Act will help tackle inflation and supply chain problems, help us out-compete China, and bring home manufacturing jobs. I am proud to support the COMPETES Act of 2022 to get our supply chains, our technology and our manufacturing back on track so we can make America a global leader once more. I have previously led legislation to strengthen our medical device supply chain and I'm pleased to see that, after years of working on this issue, the COMPETES Act makes huge strides in addressing our medical device shortages."
