Statement on Rise in Anti-Semitic Incidents

Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) released the following statement after reports that there have been more than 100 incidents of threats to Jewish groups at 81 locations in 33 states since January 1:

"The recent rise in anti-Semitic incidents, including numerous bomb threats against Jewish Community Centers across the nation and the major vandalism of Jewish cemeteries in two communities, is dangerous and should be deeply troubling to every American. At tonight's speech, President Trump has an opportunity to offer more than simple denunciations of this dramatic increase in anti-Semitic activity. I urge the President to not only condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms, but to more importantly offer a concrete plan of action to ensure the security of Jewish institutions and stem the rising tide of hate throughout our country."
