For Valentines Day, Schneider Delivers Hundreds of “Valentines for Veterans”
DEERFIELD, Ill. – Today, Representatives Brad Schneider (IL-10), delivered hundreds of Valentine's Day cards – written by constituents – to area veterans. The "Valentines for Veterans" thank veterans for their service and let them know that they are cared for this Valentine's Day.
This is Schneider's sixth year hosting the program, representing thousands of cards from constituents and area schoolchildren.
"Every one of us has struggled with the reality of not seeing loved ones due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and veterans are no exception," Schneider said. "I always want to make sure we take the time to recognize and appreciate the sacrifices that our brave veterans have made for this country, but even more so during this time of isolation and loneliness. A card or handwritten Valentine's Day note is a small gesture that will make a big difference in making veterans feel loved and appreciated."
