Rep. Schneider Announces “Holiday Cards for Heroes” Program

December 3, 2019

Constituents are invited to leave holiday greetings for active-duty military at Schneider’s Lincolnshire Office

Today, U.S. Representative Brad Schneider (IL-10), launched the third annual "Holiday Cards for Heroes" program for the 2019 holiday season.

Tenth District constituents are invited to drop off holiday cards for military servicemembers at Congressman Schneider's District Office in Lincolnshire, starting today through Friday, December 13, 2019. Holiday cards placed in envelopes should not be sealed closed.

In 2018, Schneider's office collected nearly 400 cards, which were distributed with help from the United Service Organizations (USO). Some of the collection are pictured above.

"The holidays are a special time for families and friends to gather together, but many of our brave men and women in our armed forces spend this season far from family and home," said Schneider. "A personal, handwritten card is a much-appreciated way to say thank you to the Americans serving our country, offer words of encouragement, and share holiday cheer. Now in its third year, this program continues to grow and I'm glad our office can help connect constituents and our service members."

Congressman Schneider's district office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm at 111 Barclay Blvd, Suite 200, Lincolnshire, IL 60069.

Constituents can also deliver cards during any upcoming Neighborhood Office Hour event. Check the schedule here.
