This week, Congressmen Brad Schneider (IL-10) announced the winners of the 2017 Congressional Art Competition in Illinois’s Tenth District.
Legislation would allow international medical students on J-1 visas to remain in the United States after medical residency if they practice in an underserved community for three years.
Today, Congressmen Brad Schneider (D-IL) and Darrell Issa (R-CA) introduced bipartisan legislation to help increase the number of doctors available to work in underserved and rural areas. The bill would extend and expand the Conrad 30 Waiver program which allows doctors here from abroad to remain in the U.S.
Submissions from 45 area students will be displayed and winning entries will be announced
Congressman Brad Schneider will host a reception to showcase submissions and announce the winners of this year’s Congressional Art Competition, An Artistic Discovery, at Vernon Area Public Library on Monday, April 24 at 4:00pm.
The reception will display the artwork submitted from 45 students from 12 high schools across the district.
