WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) helped pass H.R. 4, the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act – a bill he also helped introduce as a cosponsor.
WAUKEGAN, IL— Representative Brad Schneider (IL-10) led a letter to NRG Energy from Federal and State representatives asking for assurances that the company will conduct appropriate environmental remediation before closing its Waukegan coal plant. Cosigning the letter to NRG President and CEO Mauricio Gutierrez were Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Representative Lauren Underwood (IL-14), Illinois State Senator Adriane Johnson (D-Waukegan), and Illinois State Representative Rita Mayfield (D-Waukegan).
