Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (D-IL) applauded recent visa policy changes by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to allow foreign-born medical doctors greater flexibility to deliver health care to our communities during this pandemic.

These changes were previously requested by Schneider and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) in an April 2020 letter to Kenneth Cuccinelli, acting Principal Deputy Director at USCIS.

Schneider was joined by nearly 100 Members in his oversight letter to the SBA, which was co-led by Chairwoman of the House Small Business Committee Nydia Velázquez and Chairman of the Financial Services Appropriations Subcommittee, charged with funding the SBA, Mike Quigley.

Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10­) announced he will host a bilingual telephone town hall with the option of live, simultaneous translation for Spanish-speaking listeners to discuss and answer questions related to the coronavirus.

This will be Congressman Schneider's third telephone town hall during the coronavirus pandemic. More than 16,000 constituents have participated in the previous two telephone town hall events.

He invites all residents of Illinois' Tenth Congressional District to participate Thursday, May 7, from 4:50-5:50pm CT.
