On Saturday, February 29, Congressman Brad Schneider is hosting an event to honor the veterans of the Vietnam War Era as part of the congressionally-authorized "United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration" at the American Legion McKinlock Post 264 in Lake Forest.
At the event, official Vietnam War 50th Commemoration pins and certificates will be distributed to Tenth District veterans. The commemoration items may also be presented to veterans posthumously to families on their loved one's behalf.

Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) today announced the introduction of the Sensible, Timely Relief for America's Nuclear Districts' Economic Development (STRANDED) Act (H.R. 5608). Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) announced the launch of the Tenth District "Valentines for Vets" program to collect and distribute Valentine's Day cards to local veterans.
Constituents of all ages are encouraged to participate by dropping off or mailing cards to Schneider's Lincolnshire office, or by dropping off cards at his two Satellite offices in Round Lake Park and Waukegan. The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 7, 2020.
Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (D-IL) voted to support H.Con.Res.83, which directs the President, pursuant to the War Powers Resolution, to terminate the use of United States Armed Forces to engage in hostilities in or against Iran.

Today, U.S. Representative was pleased to once again donate the frequent flyer miles he earned through his congressional travel to the Hero Miles program administered by the Fisher House Foundation. This program provides round-trip airline tickets to wounded, injured, and ill service members and/or their families who are undergoing treatment at a military or VA medical center.
This year, Rep. Schneider donated more than 57,000 miles accrued on his more than 50 flights between Illinois's Tenth District and Washington, DC.
