"Today the Republican House voted to weaken America's health care. This bill doesn't fix health care, it takes us backwards, forcing families to pay more money for less coverage, putting Americans with pre-existing conditions again at risk of discrimination, and leaving many people just one severe illness away from potential bankruptcy.

This week, Congressmen Brad Schneider (IL-10) announced the winners of the 2017 Congressional Art Competition in Illinois's Tenth District.
Today, Congressmen Brad Schneider (D-IL) and Darrell Issa (R-CA) introduced bipartisan legislation to help increase the number of doctors available to work in underserved and rural areas. The bill would extend and expand the Conrad 30 Waiver program which allows doctors here from abroad to remain in the U.S. upon completing their residency under the condition that they practice in underserved areas for at least three years.
Congressman Brad Schneider will host a reception to showcase submissions and announce the winners of this year's Congressional Art Competition, An Artistic Discovery, at Vernon Area Public Library on Monday, April 24 at 4:00pm.
The reception will display the artwork submitted from 45 students from 12 high schools across the district.
