Today, U.S. Representative Brad Schneider (IL-10), launched the "Holiday Cards for Heroes" program for the 2018 holiday season.

Tenth District constituents are invited to drop off holiday cards for military servicemembers at Congressman Schneider's District Office in Lincolnshire, starting today through Friday, December 14, 2017. Holiday cards placed in envelopes should not be sealed closed.

Last year, Schneider's office collected and distributed more than 200 cards with help from the United Service Organizations (USO).

Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (D-IL) introduced bipartisan legislation to help small businesses when essential employees or small business owners are called up for service as part of their National Guard or Reservist duties. The bill would improve existing, yet underutilized, Small Business Administration programs offering loans and deferrals to help small businesses meet their obligations during an employee's absence due to military service.

U.S. Representative Brad Schneider (D-IL-10) and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), along with Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) and Representatives Dan Lipinski (D-IL-03) and Bill Foster (D-IL-11), today introduced legislation that would require the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to revise ethylene oxide (EtO) emissions standards for medical sterilization and chemical facilities, which have been the source of harmful emissions in Illinois. The bill also requires the EPA to notify the public no more than 30 days after it learns that the new standards have been violated.
