Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10), released the below statement on his vote for the continuing resolution to fund the government until January 19, 2017:

Today, U.S. Representative was pleased to donate the frequent flyer miles he earned through his congressional travel to the Hero Miles program administered by the Fisher House Foundation. This program provides round-trip airline tickets to wounded, injured, and ill service members and/or their families who are undergoing treatment at a military or VA medical center.

This week, U.S. Representative Brad Schneider (IL-10) delivered cards and letters collected from Tenth District residents to be distributed to members of the U.S. armed forces serving overseas this holiday season.

Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10), released the below statement following his vote against the conference report on H.R.1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

"I cannot support this legislation that raises taxes on my constituents, undermines health care coverage for millions, and irresponsibly adds $1.5 trillion to our children's debt burden.

Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) will announce the winner of Illinois's Tenth District's Congressional App Challenge at a ceremony in Vernon Hills this Wednesday, December 20. Participating high school students will showcase and demonstrate their apps at the event.

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed an amendment by Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) to prevent human rights abuses by the Iranian regime. The bipartisan amendment was co-led by Congressman Ted Poe (TX-02).

Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) will host a "Congress on Your Corner" event to answer questions from constituents and brief attendees on his work in Washington this Saturday at 10:00am. The event will be held at the Village Hall in Glenview, IL and is open to the public.
