Today, U.S. Representatives Brad Schneider (D-IL) and Mike Bost (R-IL) introduced the bipartisan Securing Our Schools (SOS) Act to improve student safety by helping schools acquire alert buttons to contact law enforcement in an emergency.
The bipartisan legislation is supported by law enforcement and educators alike, with endorsements from the National Sheriffs' Association and the National Education Association.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Brad Schneider announced artwork by Monika Duchoslav, a 4th grade student at Eugene Field Elementary School was the winning design for his 2017 holiday card.
Earlier this year, Schneider solicited greeting card designs from Tenth District elementary schools on the theme of "Peace and Unity."
Congressman Brad Schneider, IL-10, and state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, are teaming up to host a free Health Care Fair for local residents on Sunday, Jan, 7 from noon to 3:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 114 Lincoln Ave. in Round Lake.
