Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) today announced an upcoming bike ride open to constituents of Illinois Tenth District.
Participants will bike with Congressman Schneider on a 16-mile loop beginning and ending at the Round Lake Beach Metra Station. The group will also stop by Something's Brewing Café in Grayslake for refreshments and a mini-town hall with Schneider, and visit the Round Lake Public Library during the library's 45th anniversary celebration. Non-bikers are invited to join at these two stops.
U.S. Representative Brad Schneider (IL-10) and Illinois State Representative Rita Mayfield (IL-60) today announced an upcoming Job and Resource Fair in North Chicago.
The event will feature participation from more than 60 area employers and social service agencies. A full list of participating employers and organizations is included at end of release.
This event is free and open to the public. Doors open early for veterans at 9:00am.
Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) yesterday requested the Small Business Administration (SBA) open a Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Lake County, Illinois, as a response to recent the severe flooding. Outreach Centers play an important role helping residents access low-interest loans to businesses, private non-profit organizations, homeowners, and renters, that can be used to repair or replace damaged or destroyed items after a disaster.
As Back to School season approaches, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) today announced the launch of "Brad's Bookworms," a program to encourage reading and learning for elementary-age students and their families.
