Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) will host a "Congress on Your Corner" event to answer questions from constituents and brief attendees on his work in Washington on Saturday, June 23 at 10:00am. The event will be held at the Lakefront Park Building in Fox Lake and is open to the public.

This will be Schneider's 25th Congress on Your Corner town hall event since taking office in January 2017.

Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) today announced an upcoming bike ride open to constituents of Illinois Tenth Congressional District.

Participants are invited to "Bike the Tenth" with Schneider on a 28-mile loop beginning and ending at Naval Station Great Lakes, and including a brief stop at the mid-point at Glencoe Roast Coffee for refreshments and conversation, on Sunday, June 17. Come out and celebrate Father's Day with this family-friendly event.

The event will be held at Cumberland Elementary School cafeteria in Des Plaines and is open to the public.

This will be Schneider's 24th Congress on Your Corner town hall event since taking office in January 2017.

This week, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 5515, National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019, by a vote of 351-66. Five amendments offered by Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL) were included in the legislation.

Today, U.S. Representatives Brad Schneider (D-IL) and Elise Stefanik (R-NY) announced the introduction of new bipartisan legislation to improve primary care options for individuals with high-deductible health insurance plans.

H.R. 5858, the Primary Care Patient Protection Act of 2018, would create a primary care benefit for all high-deductible health plan (HDHP) holders allowing for up to two deductible-free primary care office visits each year.

Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) released the below statement following the failure of H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018 or "Farm Bill" by a vote of 198-213:


"Today, the GOP majority attempted to pass harmful cuts to crucial safety net programs under the guise of the Farm Bill, undermining legislation with a history of bipartisan support. We know that SNAP leads to better health and education outcomes, yet a projected 2 million families would have seen their benefits reduced or eliminated entirely under this cruel legislation.
